This is such a great project. I have had the pleasure of buying from and donating to this charity for a number of years. I've donated a large 2 seater M&S sofa today (it was picked up within 2 days of me contacting them) and the 2 lads who came to pick it up from me in Macclesfield couldn't have been any better, they were so friendly and respected both my property and other furniture, whilst moving the sofa out of my home. Those 2 lads are an absolute credit to the organisation and should be recognised. There are not many projects like this about and I can honestly say we are lucky to have one this good in Cheshire. This is not just a second hand furniture shop, it is a project that benefits the local community and it needs more recognition. Well done.

This place is superb. We’ve bought many a tin of resealed paint over the years and this week, when our washing machine packed up, we decided to get a refurbished one from their warehouse. Lovely staff helped me to load it into the car. Sadly, upon plumbing the machine in, it was faulty. I took it back the next day expecting to be fobbed off but the staff were apologetic and accommodating, helping me to select a new machine to take home that day. They swapped it no questions asked and now we’ve got a great refurbished washing machine. The volunteers and staff couldn’t be nicer, really recommend.

It's very expensive for a charity shop, infact I would go as far to say its not a charity shop, it's just a used furniture warehouse. They want nearly £300 for a fridge, and £250 for a small cooker. £200 for an old sofa. £300 for a chest of drawers. Firstly, they're not worth that much, nowhere near, and secondly, who that needs charity can afford that?
St Lukes just round the corner will sell you similar things for a quarter of the price. Actually, Facebook marketplace is much cheaper. Just look on there instead.
*edit I'm not sure how they are surprised by the review. What I've said is factually correct. They don't deny it. They merely say that this is for new things. The sofas are not new. Not one of them.
Yes, the ovens might be new, or factory rejects, or overstock, but that doesn't make them any more affordable. If I want to pay full price on a fridge or cooker, I'd go to curry's, or somewhere like that where theres warranty or aftercare.
Again I reiterate, why would anyone who can't afford a new fridge or oven go to a used furniture warehouse to buy a new fridge or oven? Stay in your lane. People need used cheap appliances.

*Edit 2*
I've come back and re-edited my review for a second time because I've revisited the place and feel it needs an update, and it loses even more stars. There's no more left to lose.
There's 'new' cookers there with rust on.
There's a sofa there with a £345 price tag and not only is it not new, there's what looks like brown excrement stains all over it. £345 for brown stained cream sofas. It's beyond a joke. There's old bicycles in there they want £100 for, and they're not in great condition and would have cost not much more than that brand new.
Who ever is pricing this stuff up is clearly just pulling numbers out of a hat.
I don't think it's going to be there much longer. If not and there's a charity throwing money at this place then questions need to be answered.

Charity isn't just about raising money. It's about providing people who can't afford new things with items they might need at a reasonable price. This does not happen here. Let's say someone is on universal credit. The average payment for a universal credit claimant is about 380 a month without the housing element. Take away food, travel, etc, and if they're lucky they might have £20 left at the end of the month. This brown stained sofa would take them 18 months to save up for. Imagine saving 18 months to buy a stained sofa. Get real people. This stuff that you get FOR FREE from donations and gouse clearances should be going for £20-30, not hundreds.

Great to see any charity doing their part but this place is not cheap.

St lukes just round the corner has more and fair prices. Sadly you are not going sell much at them prices.

Bloke on till just ignored us as we walked in and out.

Not for us sorry.

Terrible people to buy a washing machine or any "tested" goods from and terrible management.

On the Saturday I purchased what seemed like a good quality clean washing machine for the not so charitable price of £160 but I did this to ensure I was buying a decent working machine however once home and plumbed in the washing machine was faulty didn't work past turning on and locking the door. I spoke with a lovely helpful woman who was able to help me pick a new washing machine over the phone, though as I had picked the original one up with a rented van I was told that I would have to pay a deliver charge of £20 to collect the original unit and drop off another, additionally the only other good quality washing machine was 180 so I had to pay an additional £20 for this new washer. Upon delivery of this new washer plumbed it all in and the machine starting leaking water everywhere from the filter plug, upon opening the filter it was clogged tight with paper so I cleared it all out and inside the drum which was also a state the plug still wouldn't seal. I called up again about the issue and the same helpful lady from my first issue and she apologised and agreed to pick up the washing machine and drop of a loaner for the weekend this being Friday at this point and me not being able to do washing for nearly a whole week. During that conversation I had said that if they couldn't repair this one I wanted my money back. She then told me her manager said that I could have a credit note, given the previous failure I told her that if they couldn't repair it I wanted my money back to go elsewhere as I didn't want a third failed washing machine. Moments later i got another call back saying that the manager had then refused my loaner, obvious in reaction to me saying that I would want my money back not a credit note. I then requested to speak to him over the phone and was given his number. I called the number to be answered to by a disgustingly rude and arrogant Steve (the manager) who proceeded to tell me that I was somehow in the wrong that he wasn't obligated to refund me the money and I was only going to get the amount for the washing machine and not for the delivery that I shouldn't of needed after again explaining my situation being without a washing machine for a week having the washing piling up leaving a family to suffer he expressed zero remorse or sympathy. For a charity helping vulnerable people especially I find this disgusting behaviour and highly recommend going elsewhere for any "tested" goods.

Just moved to Northwich and this place was highly recommended. Bought a coffee table and dining table with chiars for a very good price. Customer service was excellent and cheap delivery. 6 stars 😁

We bought a fridge freezer for a bargain price 15 months ago. It's proved to be a fantastic piece of equipment, very reliable. The sort of fridge that, whenever we thought it was full, we'd always find room for something else. Staff have been fantastic on our every visit and delivery is first class.
