A small HWRC site with recycling facilities for Chemicals, Batteries, lightbulbs and fluorescent tubes, wood, metal, plasterboard and rubble at a small cost, paper, garden waste, general waste, cardboard, hard plastics, plastic bottles and tin cans, glass bottles, small electrical, engine and cooking oils, sells compost and can take items for re-use in their Bric-a-Brac store. The site can now recycle your used coffee pods and vapes now and you now get a free allowance of 2 x 50 litre sacks or a large item of rubble or plasterboard free each week in a single trip for 4 weeks in a row, then you must miss a week before your 4 weeks begin again. Any rubble after this free amount in a week is still chargeable. Just be aware that the opening times vary depending upon the time of year. April to the end of September its 08:30 - 17:00 and October to the end of March its 08:30 to 16:00, but all HWRC sites close on Wednesdays.

Helpful staff and a wide range of recycling options available. Closed on Wednesdays and some but not all Bank Holidays- the opening times can be found on the Google Maps information.

Visited the 'tip' today , busy and people queuing to get in. Everything clearly marked on the skips where everything goes but for those who can't see for looking (me) there were 3 members of staff on hand ready to assist. The staff were well organised and helped everyone there to dispose of their waste. Well done . I will return, probably this aft lol

You need to arrive 20 minutes before closing otherwise they turn you away. Advised that cctv monitoring means they have to lock the gates at 4pm. Must be due to Covid?

1st time I've visited as malton is local to me however from today on I'm not going to bother with malton anymore.
The staff here are so much more helpful and very friendly
