Wow this place is a scammers paradise. Weighed my scrap in only to be told 'its 10 days till you get your money unless you want to pay us £10 and we'll process it quicker!'. Also refused to give me any prices for the materials i weighed in, just gave me a total so i have no way of knowing whats worth taking next time and whats not!. Best avoided.

hello everyone, this company steals money from customers, deceives them that they pay and find different ways to avoid paying, I have 3 payments that I have been waiting for for more than 2 weeks and I haven't even received them today, I will call the competent institutions at Citizens Advice

I weighed my stripped copper wire on a royal mail set of scales so as accurate as you would get there was 4 x 10 kilo lots so 40 kilo in total but on their scales they only got it at 32 I no longer take scrap to them now I use drapers slightly lower price but you don't get ripped off

Just be aware if your scrap has different components made from other metals attached they will weigh in the item and take the cheapest grade metal part and calculate at that per kilo. For example 95% stainless 5% aluminium you get 100% lower aluminium price. So please strip and sort before entering the sharks mouth £££? Other than that pretty straight forward apart from the cashiers have trouble finding details of vehicle registration so take a flask of coffee with you.

Helpful while your in the yard then get told fill in the account form and the payment will be in Monday, to ring up when it's not there to be told it might be Friday.

Been using these for years, Harrow St and now Clough Rd. They do what they need to do and are friendly as they do it. Banksman is friendly and helpful, and the lady in the office is very easy on the eye which is a bonus!!
