Signed up with Veolia on 16 January for general waste, almost a month later and I still have no bin. I have called them several times and been promised a bin several times but I’m still stuck here having to sort out alternative arrangements. They were very happy to setup the direct debit to take money from my account even though am yet to see a bin delivered.

Veolia waste collection services are shocking.
They call in residential areas in the early hours of the morning waking neighbours, that’s if they can be bothered calling at all, our business has not had a collection for nearly 3 weeks and the waste is overflowing, despite numerous calls is still sat outside our premises again today.
Utterly useless service use at your peril

This is the 3rd time in a period of 2 months that the bin has not been collected. The last time they were supposed to come was on the 2nd October, today is the 12th and it still there. The reason the company gave me is “there was traffic that day”. Well, and about the other days? Every time you call them they say it will be collected on the same day of the call and nothing happens. I have more things to do then remind Veolia to do their job.
Update to their reply below: that’s what I’m complaining about, I don’t want to have to call you 3 times a week for collection. You should be able to do it when you were scheduled to without me contacting you every time . Today the 12th December completed a full month that my bin has not been collected and Veolia charged me for the missed collections still.

Agreed to come round the back of the Premise to collect the bin, after couple months they ask us to bring the bin out for then. Why promise something you can't do?
Sales team will say yes but sorry your bin man just lazy.
Keep getting missed collection, rang up and they will said don't worry we will collect next working day which never happen.
So unfortunately have to wait till next week. For a business owner it's not good at all.
Veolia is a nightmare!
