Picked up a pair on Burberry jeans in the Wrexham charity shop. Thought I’d got a bargain. Took them to the till and the lady said that they were priced too cheaply and wasn’t sure if she should let me have them and said she needed to ring her manager. I said there is no guarantee that they are real so I’d take a chance at that price. Her manager made up some story and said that because they can’t guarantee that they are real, she was taking them off the shelf and her colleague refused to sell them to me. If that was the case, why mention that they were too cheap and wasn’t sure if she should sell them? She obviously pulled them to make more money on them or take them for herself.
This is supposed to be a charity shop. With the ridiculous prices that are being charged for tat, it feels a little more justified when you find a bargain. Doesn’t seem that will happen anymore. Terrible customer service. not selling an Item because it was priced too cheaply. Never heard anything like it.
