Perhaps the tip is sometimes dirty because some people don’t clean up after a drop off. Personally I find the staff helpful, friendly and always busy with a brush - including this morning just an hour after opening.

Staff are top, they will absolutely guide you and want you to put your spent items in the correct areas.
The big issue... the speed bumps in the route through before unloading - they are not a good idea if you've a car full of carefully... delicately stacked stuff!
So keep that in mind, you'll drive there carefully, and then get everything smashed around on site. Can be busy, but I think all recycling centres are and you just have to crack on through it.

Place always tidy. I always sweep up after me. Make sure you put stuff in the correct skip. They rightly get annoyed if you don't as they have to fish it out themselves.

Been here today asked for ID not post ID to prove address and who I am. Surely this isn't right and contradict confidentially?
When northwich recycle day before with sister with no issues never even asked for ID .
While talking to employee at winsford recycling waved on 4 cars passed me never asked for ID.
While I was there waved on another 3 car with no checks.
Let's keep it consistent if we're gonna do it
