Witchford Recycling Centre

I like the layout and very rarely queue here. However, the two issues I do have is firstly, people who want look in the sales area only have the layby on the right to pull into which blocks access to the skips in this area, secondly the staff can be hit or miss, most are okay but occasionally there's a couple of miserable staff members who aren't interested in helping but only trying to get you to do their job for them!!!

Mixed experiences this week. Went on Wednesday night after work and there was a very nice gentleman with grey hair and glasses and no beard. He was beyond helpful and made a bad day much better. But this evening i got there about 5.20pm and there was a guy with a long greyish beard who was quite passive aggressive. He seemed annoyed that i had turned up near the end of the day. He didn’t seem to really want to help and was annoyed that i had to put some bits on the floor and told me he had just swept there. Thank goodness the nice man was there and he came and helped.

Great place to get rid of your junk.

I would of given this 5 stars as I have been coming here since it has opened and usually always very helpful and quick in and out. But I was greeted at the front today by a very rude individual. Customer service (and manors) should exist everywhere even if it is a recycling centre. Young boy with glasses. Nobody should be spoken to in the way he did.

Having lived in various parts of Cambridgeshire and used multiple recycling centres, I can safely say the one at Witchford is the best I’ve visited. After moving house and having to get rid of a lot of boxes and rubbish, being able to throw away this from above the skips and not having to climb steps made the job a lot easier!

Very impressed with this recycling centre so easy to use, no steps, signs to show you what goes where and staff very helpful. The only down side is the items for sale are very highly priced in fact higher than antique shops. I liked a sunbed but it was £30! And there was wheel trims there for £15 and that's same price as new in halfords
