I use a van to take my recycling, not commercial, with valid permit. I had a wooden pallet, unfortunately I was not allowed to recycle. I been told to come back with different vehicles and then I can recycle the pallet . What about being green and reduce the co2 emissions ? I was allowed to dump other recycling but with the pallet I had to another journey with my wife car , using more petrol how green is that?
If that was someone else probably will dump it in to woodlands. This is ridiculous. We have so much rubbish dumped in to the land because council making so difficult to use the recycling centre .

The staff are really helpful, they asked you what you’re bringing and then direct you to the nearest bin to dispose of it. They also have a reuse shop where you can buy stuff that’s too good too good to go in landfill

I am pleased to share my positive experience at Woking Recycle Centre. The assistance and support from the workers, especially Lee, were invaluable. After a challenging visit to another local tip, Lee's willingness to guide me and help with unloading made a significant difference. I am grateful for their efficiency and considerate service, and I will certainly choose Woking Recycle Centre in the future.

Since moving locally a year ago I’ve been using the tip a lot doing up my house. I’ve recently noticed an abundance of screws dropped on the floor by people in the parking areas. 8 on one trip and four yesterday. 26/11/23 10am. Fed up I took a screw to one of the guys and said this is for you. I got an instant f-off followed by plenty more. I said it’s £220 a corner on this car. I don’t care go f-yourself was his reply. Some sort of magnet you could drag on the bays or sweep up would eliminate this. It’s not asking much but people must get loads of punctures coming here. Anyway I drove out and the angry bloke was getting into his 16plate white fancy Mercedes. Maybe he will sympathise when he gets a screw in his tyre. Very unpleasant man indeed. All these signs up these days saying our workers have the right to work without verbal abuse. And we will take extreme measures against anyone. Takes the giddy biscuit.
