I've visited the recycling centre on many occasions but today (02/08/2024 at 9am) the staff on duty went above and beyond, polite and helpful. I am only sorry I didn't ask there names.

One of the least friendly, least helpful refuse places I have ever used. Each time I go there I am berated by one or other the jobsworths standing around picking their noses or smoking. The last time I parked at the bottom to drop off some batteries and carried some garden waste up the slope only to be told that I could not bring garden waste on foot!! Should have rejoined the queue letting my petrol fumes blast a further hole in the ozone layer, apparently! Another occasion I struggled with bags of garden waste while three blokes didn't lift a finger to help only to point out that next time I should probably try smaller bags!!! Then classic - this morning: waited in the queue while some bloke parked right across two bays no questions asked..took his waste to the skips without rebuke or challenge. I eventually reversed into the correct bay around the car next to me with his side door left wide open - again without any challenge only to be greeted by the jobsworth on duty, asking me how much I had as I was taking up two bays, as to park in the bay and avoid hitting the next car's side door, one of my rear tyres was over the lines at the back, despite the fact the both cars were already in those bays!! Well, what can I say, they were both men, so they were able to do exactly what they liked - no questions asked. When I first moved to my Worcester address, I had the hedge cut at the rear at my house, producing 20 bags of garden waste. I took each one down the tip and not a single one of those miserable buggars bothered to lift a finger to help me. Typical self-righteous Worcester welcome. Nice to know that I will always get such value for money as a council payer..I just wonder why there is so much fly tipping in this county I dread going to that place. May be next time I will save myself the trouble and just find a ditch somewhere. It is about the only 'service' I call upon in this city..for the best part of £200 I have to shell out each month in tax.

Really really annoying that it says 6pm close but you go at 530 and they have shut the gates and not letting anyone in. I literally had 2 bags to throw in. Delayed me getting home by half an hour as detoured to get there on the way home from work. Had to get a friend to do take for me as no way I can get there before 530 due to work, and no idea what time they actually close, didn't want to waste more of my time.
