Been to the recycle centre a few times recently. Gavin and Graham are always cheery and helpful. Took a large very heavy TV today. As soon as Gavin (at least I think it was Gavin) saw it, he said he'd get that for me and carried it from my car to the TV cabin. Great service. Thanks guys.
Update Aug 24 - been to the tip many times recently and the guys working there have been extremely helpful.

In the winter time I got lots of empty small gas cans 227 gram gas. But total empty now. Last time I left full box 28 pcs in the scrap metal skip. But now one guy idio said is too much full box from personal use. So I can left just 5 pcs at this time. Unbelievable

Terrible female member of staff at this recycling centre.
My husband asked for assistance lifting an old tumble dryer from his van and the 'lady' was extremely rude. So much so that we won't be visiting that centre again. There is no need for anyone to be so rude when being simply asked for advice or help.

We have recently moved to this area and have used the recycling centre several times to get rid of cardboard, (which the dustman refused to take) and garden waste. We have always had a friendly welcome and a lot of help from the staff there. Thank you so much.

Kevin and Brenda deserve my highest praise and my un-ending thanks for helping me when I accidentally threw my purse into the bin along with my rubbish, today 11/08/19. I was distraught, but calmly, professionally they managed to find it for me even though a bed and other large items had been compacted after the incident. They worked tirelessly for me and their determination honestly saved the day.

Sometimes it's a good experience, but other it's a nightmare. The site is not open long enough, and when they are open they have their own "waste collection" they close the place down so they can take away their waste. This results in long tail backs on a very narrow road, causing congestion which often leads to frustration. Why they don't do this during their excessive hours of closure, I'll never know.

When you get in, they may decide to scrutinise your waste to see what you are throwing away, and are extremely keen to reject items. I'm sure some people take the rejected items home and pop it in the bottom of their fortnightly collection bin. I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing of course.
