The Wyre Forest website is a shambles. Earlier, I completed some information about waste collection, tried to "Get Quote" a couple of times and each time got a blank screen. When I tried to "contact us", that page was missing. (My 30 years in IT unfortunately don't seem to be any help at all.)
I have now revised my rating from one to two stars after I received a very prompt reply to my query after resorting to an online form. Now I am amazed that the council will seem to charge me £45 to collect a mini fridge - to be fair they would do two items for the same fee, I only have one item. Some years ago I was living in Southampton, and re-checked their prices. It would cost me £23 there.

Happy to take your money but try and get hold of them to query an error. More chance getting an audience with the pope!

Local authorities often get an unfair bad press as they have improved hugely over the last 20 years. However, unfortunately WFDC lives up to that old stereotype of being unable to organise the proverbial in a brewery. The planning department in particular are completely incompetent. Apart from not being clear on legislation, they can't even get residents addresses right. No wonder they have such an appalling reputation across the district.

I'm caretaker at blocks of flats in kidderminster,bins are never emptied when they should,blockages all the time,I phone council constantly,they say they will send truck to empty bins,never comes lies lies all the time,water of time,we all pay council tax in these flats,so why do they think they don't need bins emptying, this wouldn't happen if it was a street or Crescent.

The stars are mainly for a lovely, very helpful, lady, I only know as 'Rose', because Rose, and her astute actions, and empathic nature, and tenacity, was the predominantary reason, why my friend wasn't immediately evicted, due to unforeseen circumstances, beyond his control.
So, thankyou, Rose, and WFDC, and if anyone else finds themselves, in similar circumstances, it's always worth asking for help. Because help was available, and assistance, was viable, when we didn't even know it was available, and not being evicted, was at all possible.

Rude staff when calling.

My mother is old and not good with IT so when she called up asking for a street clean they were not helpful at all and kept trying to end the call with do it online!

Please understand some people are not good with computers and if they call up requesting a service, you should try to assist instead of shirking it to your online portal.

I wanted to use the toilets in ROWLAND HILL CENTRE On thursday

They were disgusting.
Only one working
The one ihad to use had no toilet seat.
Also no lighting in entrance.
