Went there this morning waited on road when I eventually got in i noticed two spaces were free the staff just stood there like statues not letting ppl know spaces free not helping ppl to carry items when i was about to leave one of the statues was shouting across to the other that hes just took another £25 back hander from a builder qnd hes going to make over £1000 soon. What the hell is going on staff all need to be sacked maybe bring in other ppl with more life in them

Way too small. Need to build a new one somewhere outside town. The staff don’t guide people into spaces so often there’s a queue for no good reason. Good to have in Yate, but not really fit for purpose anymore.

If the folks using if are switched on it’s a fast easy site to use, if they can’t reverse, traffic backs up

Waited over 30 minutes to get onto the site.
All staff standing around chatting.
No effort made to direct traffic around the site.
No help offered, staff just standing around blocking access to the bins.
For some reason they have added poles on the edge of the path, making it hard to open the boot and blocking the path.
They need to put some effort into this very outdated system.

It's popular so expect a long queue to get in, especially when another nearby Sort It centre is closed.

Not all staff are helpful, especially with older people with heavy items and there's one young female there whose english is abysmal who doesn't seem to know what treated timber is and where hard plastics should go - neither should go to landfill (non-recyclable) !
I've edited this to say the review is over a year old, staff and things have changed since then.

Been here at least 50 times over the years and it's always the same, absolutely dreadful. Staff there are the laziest people I've ever met, totally unhelpful, they just stand around chatting and watching old people struggle, it's an absolute disgrace, they don't deserve to be paid at all. I'm sure they go to work just for a laugh. Any individual leaving reviews saying staff are helpful is either related, works for SITA or on crack!
