A Huge Thank You to the Leeming Bar Household Waste Center Team!

I can't say enough about the incredible kindness and generosity shown by the employees on shift yesterday (05/19/2024) when my car broke down at the center. What could have been a stressful and miserable situation was made so much easier thanks to them.

Not only did they offer to help unload my grass bags, but they also went above and beyond by offering me a seat in their cabin when it started to rain. They constantly checked if I was warm and even offered me tea or coffee while I waited for a friend to come tow my car. Their warmth and care made me feel so looked after, and it's clear they genuinely care about the people they serve.

It’s rare to come across such a thoughtful and compassionate team, and I’m truly grateful for their help and hospitality. They turned a tough day into a much brighter one. Thank you again to the amazing staff—you’re a credit to the community!

I use the Towthorpe facility, as it is local to me. I have to say, that in this age, where customer service is becoming a thing of the past, the Towthorpe staff are really great. They have a smile for everyone, are always willing to help, the site is always a delight to visit (with their displays, plants and bird life). They keep the site clean and safe: These people should be teaching others.

Right from the start it was all smooth sailing.
Excellent communication from the beginning and through out , easy collection with the lorry / van pulling up, help in loading it all on and job done.

We've never had any trouble with Yorwaste. I change the number of empties I need from time to time, and when I tell Yorwaste they always respond, and empty the bin on the weeks I need, crediting me for any weeks they have charged that I don't need. They even send me a picture when there's a problem, like the bin is empty, or the road is blocked.
