I was planning on hiring a skip last weekend and I was advised that for the same price, I could have a team come and collect garden/patio waste that same afternoon. Dean and Co arrived that evening and worked non-stop until the job was done. The arena was left clean and tidy and I could not be more grateful for the assistance. Polite, lovely young people, working super hard for a reasonable price. Thank you and will most definitely use again in the future!

Had lots of skips from them. Thought they were the best but they’ve become too frustrating to continue to use any more. Frequently have to ask repeatedly for skips, they don’t tell you when they’re coming so you have to guess when the time is to move the car off the drive or they go away and won’t come back for weeks. They don’t tell you the time you can have the skip for but take it randomly, this time after 11 days when not even half full. Would have been fine if we knew the time limit but we had one more large item of furniture to go in which will now take weeks to get rid of.

Was getting a skip monthly, although when the exchange came it was anyone’s guess. Final things was their telephone attitude and the fact that I was told I could only have a skip for a week.

Didn't turn up. Waited for a phone call and a skip from 7.30 am to 5.30pm and got neither.

When they failed to phone as promised at 8 am we spent the next two hours phoning them with no answer. My wife went to the office at 10.30 am and by chance managed to find someone who promised to find out what was happening and let us know.

By midday no skip had arrived and nobody had phoned. I managed to speak to someone around 12.30 and was told that the driver was either on his way or we were next. By 5.30pm. we realised nothing was coming.

In my opinion and experience, Johnsons are unreliable, unprofessional and dishonest. We have been badly let down with no explanation offered. Not recommended.

Didn’t take down the reservation properly when my dad rang. Chased them up and rearranged for the afternoon and to their credit arrived quickly, but the driver was patronizing and rude to my dad. Didn’t expect to have to hear an old farmer get a talking down to about how to use a skip by a man half his age, if even that!

I had agreed a deal with Robin to remove a Victorian wall from our home that had partially collapsed. We agreed cost neutral due to reclaim value of bricks and also that itms I wanted disposing of would also be taken away same day. The whole wall was to be removed as fence was to be erected 2 days later. Robin sent 2 lads to remove wall and they arrived without a wheelbarrow so I borrowed them my brand new one. They removed all the easy to reclaim bricks and left. I contacted Robin the following morning when nobody turned up who said he’d reclaimed all the bricks he could sell, I stated that wasn’t what was agreed, why would I just want good bricks taken and receive nothing for them. He said he could send 2 lads round and said he he would have to arrange a skip and it would be a couple of hours work, he said that would be £150, I was horrified but agreed to pay. They arrived at 6pm and stayed an hour but had nowhere near finished and asked my Dad for half the money. My brilliant fence guy arrived, Paul Grabtree the following day and was horrified as to how it had been left. He had to provide a large digger and 3 lads to finish the job and this cost me £500 extra. He bailed me out and will be ever grateful. I rang Robin but Andrew, the boss of Johnsons skip hire answered phone and when I explained what had happened he put the phone down. The only stuff they removed from my drive was stuff they could sell. My experience has been horrific and has cost me £100s of pounds extra. Please don’t let the same happen to you.

I rang this company to ask if they took used car bumpers. They said yes but they don’t collect. That was no problem as the bumper was in the car. I arrived there and they took the bumper. No problem until I asked for payment. They suddenly didn’t do bumpers!!! They tried to get me to take back. Left it there. They were very interested to know what model of car it was from and year. I wonder why!!!
