Looked for a local welder in the North West to revamp my beloved Toyota Hilux that had seen better days and the chassis was full of rust (a common problem with the Hilux Mk6).MD Engineering was the right place to help. Mick was amazing all throughout the initial inspection and I was super impressed with his customer service and professional manner from the moment we met. The job did turn out a bit bigger than I first thought but I am so pleased with the results:

🔹x2 fuel tank cross members replaced.
🔹 2” @pedders.suspension lift kit fitted.
🔹 Rear spare wheel carrier cross member replaced.
🔹 Several areas of chassis welding.
🔹 New GR front grill fitted.
🔹 2 sections of exhaust replaced.
🔹 Front exhaust section repaired.
🔹 x2 new front ABS sensors replaced.
🔹 Front anti roll bar brackets / bushes replaced.
🔹 x2 rear corroded steel brake lines replaced with new copper brake lines.
🔹 Rear chassis prepped and undersealed.
🔹 4 wheel alignment carried out by his neighbours @brasenose_garage

Recently had my discovery 2 shock mount repaired at MD. Michael managed to fit me in short notice as I had to go away in it the next day. The work carried out was quality and I'll be using MD again for any future welding work. Highly recommend!

Excellent full step and sill weld job on my van, Mike's communication throughout the job was 10/10 photographs to keep me informed of the progress made, I also needed two wishbones on the vehicle in which I asked Mike if he could recommend someone to fit them , Mike got back to me and unfortunately the garage was over run with work but kindly offered me a solution, he would be happy to help me while the van was on the ramps he could change them for me he went out of his way found the parts and done the job fantastically gave me an all in price for both jobs in which I would been more than happy to pay just for the costumer service I received alone.

Amazing work! Took my disco 2 in for a new rear 1/4 chassis and it was stripped down by the end of the day and new one welded in the next day. I was sent videos and pictures of the process and a few other problems that he found which I will sort in the near future. 100% would recommend to anyone wanting some welding done
