One of the few charity shops in Wellington opened on a Sunday until 4pm.

A large store which sells various furniture and household goods at decent prices.

Good selection of clothing selection for both men and women.

No electrical appliances sold here. The one in Darwin Centre in Shrewsbury does which is a much bigger store.

Charity shops are run by volunteers and are not paid staff members. They give up their own time to support the charity.

Not happy about my purchase

I was shocked and discovered that the wooden cabinet with a broken key was arranged to delivered (paid for delivery)on 15 April 2024. I really disappointed with this.
The driver admitted that when he loaded the cabinet into the van upside down and broke the key. He called back to the shop and promised to get me a key replacement, without anything.
To resolve this issue, I contacted the shop in-charge, as a consumer I have the right to ask for compensation(photos attached). Just walking away and not facing the problem. There was no customer service at all here. How does that make sense?

Worked a couple days a week around 19 age for a year, every item was in order, some very decent ornaments. Nice to have experienced keeping clothes up and tidy, had good work with schedule.

Had a very negative experience in here today and it's really bothered us. I went in with my stepdad at about 11:30 this morning and while there, my stepdad found a blanket that he liked and wanted to purchase. He asked the worker at the till how much it was and the worker replied that it wasn't for sale as it was part of a box full of things that hadn't been sorted through yet. We thought that was fair enough and went about our day of shopping. About an hour later, we walked past the shop and as I glanced in the window, I saw a woman holding the blanket and looking at it. The item was in the same place and had not been sorted through yet. The man brought her to the till and ALLOWED HER TO BUY IT. My stepdad went in and asked the worker why he wasn't allowed to buy it just an hour earlier and this lady was allowed to? The woman began apologising but it's not her fault at all, she didn't know any of this. The worker REMAINED SILENT and didn't even acknowledge that he was being spoken to. At least apologise or explain why you've done things this way? Honestly so rude. I've had issues with the staff in here before, where I've bought a pile of books and asked for a bag at the counter only to be told the word "no". And that's it. No "we don't have any bags at the moment, sorry". Just the word "no". I said "do you have no bags?" And he said "no". So I awkwardly left and got a bag in the shop next door. Clearly the staff need some kind of training on how to speak to people and the way they deal with certain situations. A shame to see a charity shop that we are trying to support be filled with such miserable and rude staff.
