Horrendous surgery. Been here since I was 6 years old and I am now 36 I use to have such confidence in my surgery. Now if I ring at 9.05am I am told there are no appointments so I explain I have a chest infection and need my usual for my Asthma as my peak flow has dropped from 520 to 290 and told well ring tomorrow then. The foreign receptionist is by far the most inhumane person I have ever come across. I explained that if I didn't get some steroids and a blue inhaler I could have an attack and die her words " okay well that's fine " and then she hung up on me. I had to threaten to take this further in order to even get a prescription sorted. I spoke with young man that works there who is never anything but kind, caring and proactive and sorted things for me straight away but this was after having to ring 111 who then gave me a telephone appointment with a locum doctor at my surgery who then also refused to even give me an inhaler because the forgein receptionist had messed up and requested one but then cancelled it so I was told I had had too many in a short space of time despite never having had one. I did end up in hospital and I was there for 4days on a nebulizer which has not happened to me since I was a child as my Asthma is typically well controlled. I was treated like poor Asthma was my own fault and my own problem and it almost cost me my life. It took me over 5 hours and a lot of phones calls and stress to even recieve a blue inhaler simply because the receptionist who is not even qualified to diagnose hay-fever and struggles to even speak English felt she had the right to determine my quality of life.

I am currently in the process of speaking with solicitors, medical negligence to see what can be done as this receptionist and the locum never had any sanctions or even spoken to. The doctors never followed up and no one ever got back in contact.

I couldn't agree more about the receptionists with the foreign accents, they are rude, cold,abrupt and devoid of any human feeling. It's got to the point where I have blocked their number and refuse to call now. I've got serious medical conditions and for years now I've declined annual reviews. It's so bad that my husband refused to ring them when something wasn't right and he now has a large tumour and a biopsy booked with the lead surgeon in 2 weeks time. I even had a perforated bowel which had healed itself which wasn't discovered until I had bowel surgery so much was my reluctance to attempt to communicate with reception

Wow words can not explain the unique, fantastic, amazing skills and talents particular nurse Aaron Nobes demonstrated during my appointment. He showed exceptional empathy, great medical skill and communication ability. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and help me with my health issues. 10/10.
