Went to just have a look around, not alot of a garden centre though the plants were low priced just weren't many of them.

Worst part was the cafe, as it was near lunch thought we would just stop there. Very expensive for what it was, daughter have pizza and chips. Pizza was just a Chicago town Pizza burnt with so extra cheese thrown on top, chips were chunky and good tho.

Major problem was the flies that were constant and in force and made you question the sanitation, staff seemed nice enough but wouldn't go again.

Latte coffee tasteless and too milky. Cake dry. Plants looked uncared for. Shop had some really nice goods. Cafe staff pleasant.

I am a regular diner at De Beers every week the staff and food are excellent. They have excelled themselves today as it was my Mom's birthday and I organised an afternoon tea. This was delicious and presented well, nothing was
too much trouble and we were asked many times if we needed additional tea, coffee and food. Many thanks will definitely be having an afternoon tea In the future.

The place was very clean and pretty and the layout of the items on offer was very nice and aesthetically pleasing. The cafe was exceptionally good and nothing was too much trouble for the people working there. I have only taken off one star for the following: I had the English Breakfast and my colleague had the same but ordered a few minutes later. We both were on a short lunch break so we both relayed the information and we were both promised a very fast waiting time. As I ordered a few minutes earlier, I got my food first, the mushrooms were uncooked and the tomatoes (which are teen tomatoes) were cold inside, one piece of bacon was overlooked, dry and hard but not the crispy kind and the other piece was like stone dry and cold and I couldn't eat it. My colleague's plate came out with everything in perfect condition apart from the mushrooms which were also undercooked. So all in all the extremely welcoming and pleasing atmosphere is only compromised by the shortfalls of kitchen.

Love it here. Interesting shops to browse, but more importantly for me is the range of fuschias, which is a nod to it's old name of fuschias vale.
Cafe although clean needs a bit of tlc.

I went in on a whim as I was passing. I was in the mood for coffee and a sandwich. I'm so glad I did. The staff that I met were all smiles and welcoming, the food fresh and tasty and the coffee hit the right note too.
I then happily browsed the whole shop and garden without being approached by anyone enquiring if I 'needed any help?'. That is a sure fire way of making me leave empty handed. Yet I felt that I could ask if required.
I bought myself a little treat and even met another visitor (see pic)
I'm definitely going back.

Venturing out post Covid for a coffee and a slice of cake is still so new and a little strange, so it was lovely to go back to De Beers and see the plants and indoor assortment of mini shops, all staff so friendly and best of all wheelchair friendly. Of course the coffee shop was my last port of call and we sat on the veranda enjoying some social time not solitary time
