Mažeikiai holds Sustainable Holidays event

A group of children and their parents took a part in the “Towards Sustainable Holidays” event organized by Mažeikiai District municipality, partners in the Circular Based Waste Management project at the Garden Square. Community members were encouraged to sort properly, helping to create a more sustainable and nature-friendly environment. Participants learned how to give a second life to items that they longer use.

The event included workshops in In DIY training, where with a little creativity, participants learned how to give a second life to all kinds of unused objects. The training on making things out of secondary raw materials was organized and led by Giedrius Bucas, leader of the community workshops Creative Corner 360°, Sustainable Watercolor Painting – Do It and Painting with Natural Plants, by creative studio Muza and educators of local kindergartens Eglute, Berzelis and Gintarelis. The children further enjoyed the company of Kukutis the Bear and the creative team of “Your theater”.
