Guests from Palanga visit Jėrubaičiai landfill

On Monday, June 19th, the Telšiai Region Waste Management Centre had the pleasure of hosting guests from outside the Telšiai region, in a visit by the Vladas Jurgutis high school in Palanga to the Jėrubaičiai landfill, based in the Plungė district of the Telšiai region, Lithuania.

The school has been conducting a practical-research activity called “Palanga Clean-Up Study” which is now running for the second year.

Students went to the landfill for educational purposes and were introduced to waste management and sorting and the principles of the circular economy. The Director of the facility, Mr. director V. Skierus presented the mechanical biological processing plant and its functions to the group.
