School celebrates European Waste Reduction Week

On November 16th, 6th grade students from “Ryto” primary school in Plungė, Lithuania, held a brainstorming session to celebrate “European Waste Reduction Week”.

Students were divided into teams of 5-6 and answered questions related to waste sorting, waste reduction, climate change, and circular economy. The questions ere prepared by partners of the Circular Based Waste Management project.

The three teams with the most points were awarded with symbolic gifts from the Telšiai Region Waste Management Centre and Plungė public health office.

The Circular Based Waste Management project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation – eeagrants.org.
